Welcome to NU GROOVES – August 2025 Funk Session.

This time we’re diving deep into one of my favorite vibes: NuDisco & NuFunk – genres that take the golden age of funk and disco and bring it into the now, with fresh beats, sharp production, and loads of soul.

We’re talking about reworks, remixes and reinterpretations of vintage grooves, with punchy basslines, warm analog textures, percussive energy and voices that feel both nostalgic and timeless.
These aren’t just edits – they’re revivals with attitude.

We open with a stunner: Mina’s “Ancora Ancora Ancora” reimagined by Mark Ronson, and glide through a mix of disco-funk house heaters, rare grooves re-edited for today’s dancefloor, and even some new-school gems that sound like they’ve been around forever.

It’s a set for the warm nights, golden hours and that sweet spot between chill and dance.
