Nu Grooves opens this week with Rock With You in a 2018 revision that keeps everything you remember and adds exactly what it needed. From there, the set builds through reworks that aren't nostalgia exercises — they're conversations. Dario Caminita takes Change's Paradise and Delegation somewhere warmer. Ethan Wood lets Chic's Good Times breathe differently. Eric Kupper stretches Earth, Wind & Fire's September without ever losing the horns.

The BPM arc is patient at the open, nothing rushed, the groove deepening through Kool & The Gang, the S.O.S. Band, Salsoul Orchestra's; when Street People close the set you've moved without noticing you started moving.
Warm bass lines. Gospel-touched voices. Brass where it belongs. Funk that chose elegance over volume.
