NuGrooves | Modern Disco

Monday this week comes with a different weight. Not the slow groove of something waking up — this one arrives already moving.
Nu Grooves | Modern Disco opens with Sarah Jane Morris and Mario Biondi and doesn't look back. The first half of the set holds its ground — a steady, dense plateau where the groove doesn't need to climb because it's already where it wants to be. Ultra Naté, Purple Disco Machine, Todd Terry with Barbara Tucker. Voices that carry, bass that holds, rhythm that asks something of your body without shouting.
Then Earth N' Days pushes the door open, and the set finds its second gear. From there it builds deliberately — Majestic, Harry Romero in a Chris Lake edit — until Corona arrives and takes everything to the top.
The closing belongs to Eartha Kitt. Joe T. Vanelli's mix. Two names from the nineties that knew exactly what they were doing then, and still do now.
Tribal. Urban. Club. Disco... and obviously personal.
