Urban textures, italo-reggaeton, indie dance from the last few years. Thegiornalisti, Mecna, Fabri Fibra, J-AX — songs that already carry summer in them before any remix touches them.Then the shift happens. Battisti rebuilt as house. Venditti recontextualised. Ghali, Angelina Mango, and Elodie arriving in versions that hit differently on a proper system. Then the tempo rises, one degree at a time. Barbara Jimenez, Havana D'Primera, Jerry Rivera — the groove consolidates, the floor starts to feel more like a floor. By the time Alex Wilson and Gente De Zona take the last stretch, the set has climbed to its top without ever forcing it.

Seventies Pulse — Disco Foundations.This one doesn't go in a straight line. It wasn't supposed to.The seventies weren't one thing — they were ABBA and AC/DC on the same radio, Giorgio Moroder building synthesizers in Munich while Boney M filled every dancefloor in Europe. This set tries to hold all of that at once. It opens with funk and Philly soul, moves through Space and Moroder into something darker — John Carpenter's Escape from New York, which someone sampled into a techno record twenty years later. Then other many times sampled moods from Musique, Heather Parisi, Franco Battiato.Vasco Rossi closes it. Because yes, the Italians were there too — and they were doing something nobody else was doing.Every one of these tracks left a mark on me and what came after. Some obviously. Some in ways you'd only notice if you listened carefully.

NuGrooves | Funky Town

Monday doesn't need an alarm. It needs a bass line.This chapter of Nu Grooves opens with something unexpected — Loredana Bertè, reworked into house in 2023, and it lands exactly right. From there the set drops lower before it climbs: Even Funkier, Barry White reshaped by DJ Chuski, FPI Project reaching back into the nineties. Patient, warm, the groove settling in before it asks anything of you.The build is slow and deliberate — FLAUR's Art of Tones mix, a PNAU rework of Tame Impala that earns its place — and then Jimmy Hyacinthe arrives with something so purely funk it almost stops the sequence. In the best possible way.The second half belongs to Chaka Khan in a Todd Terje edit, Claptone, Underground System — voices throughout, bass throughout, the kind of warmth that doesn't fade as the BPM rises.Most of these tracks I found recently. Not all of them are new — but finding them felt like that.This is the music I choose for myself. If it works for you too — I'm glad you're here.

From the first beat — Jennifer Lopez, Black Eyed Peas, Daddy Yankee — the energy is already there. Caribbean flavor, reggaeton undertones, hip-hop latin spice threaded through a set that never stops moving. The BPM stay tight and deliberate, but Alex pushes with pitch where the moment needs it.
